Stem
holders, especially used in sympathy arrangements on styrofoam,
are special plastic picks. They are used to create a reinforcement
for the stems of the flowers before inserting them in the
styrofoam. Nevertheless you can use stem holders to give an
artificial "stem" to any element that requires it:
for instance the bow for a funeral arrangement.
